Cypress Takes On Golden West in Postseason Play
The Chargers face the Rustlers for the third time this season.
CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress women's soccer team (15-5-2, 8-4-2 OEC) has advanced to the 3rd round of the 3C2A Regionals. After having a bye week for round 1, they defeated the Pasadena City Lancers (15-7-2, 5-1-2 PCC) by a margin of 4-1. With the win, they will compete against the Golden West Rustlers (13-4-6, 5-4-5 OEC).
The Chargers have faced the Rustlers twice during the regular season. In the October matchup, the Chargers came out on top with a 2-0 win. When they saw each other again in November, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
Golden West recently defeated Canyons 1-0, allowing them to advance to the next round and face Cypress.
Tuesday's winner will head to the final round of SoCal regionals and play against the winner of the Orange Coast versus Saddleback matchup.
