Cypress Chargers Women’s Soccer Looks to Continue Their Success
Chargers Enter 2025 Season Ranked No. 3 Nationally
CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress College Women's Soccer team is set to build on its remarkable 21-2-3 record from last season, opening 2025 ranked No. 3 in the national preseason poll. With a young roster composed of just eight sophomores alongside 22 freshmen, the Chargers will lean on their experienced returners to guide a talented incoming class.
Sophomore Jasmin De La Torre, who started in 24 of the 26 games she played last season, returns as a key leader. She, along with fellow returning OEC Second Team All-Conference selection Jessica Rosalino Vicente, will provide valuable stability for the team's young core. The Chargers' dominance last year included an unbeaten run from late August to late October, capped by nine wins in their final 10 matches. Despite falling just short in the State Finals in a rematch against Folsom Lake, Cypress is fueled and motivated to make another championship push.
UP NEXT: The Chargers open their season on the road against MiraCosta College on Friday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m.
