2022-23 Men's Basketball All-Orange Empire Conference Team
CYPRESS, CA – The Orange Empire Conference has released the All-Conference teams for men's basketball for the 2022-2023 season. Cypress has four selections throughout each category: Grant Sii was named to the All-OEC First Team while Hadi Essayli and Blake Ballard were named to the Second Team and Allen Wright received an Honorable Mention.

Cypress has four selections throughout each category: Grant Sii was named to the All-OEC First Team while Hadi Essayli and Blake Ballard were named to the Second Team and Allen Wright received an Honorable Mention.
All-OEC First Team
Grant Sii - Guard
For his second consecutive year as a Charger, Sii has been awarded All-OEC honors. Last season he earned a spot on the Second Team and in his sophomore year he climbed to the First Team. Starting in almost every game, the guard has forced 37 steals, 77 rebounds and totaled 363 points scored.
Hadi Essayli - Forward
Essayli finished an impressive all around season that worked hard in the paint all season long. For his efforts, the forward has been named to the All-OEC Second Team. Essayli managed to come down with 314 rebounds, totaled 313 points and averaged a 52% field goal percentage. His rebound numbers put him at the top of the OEC statistics for rebounds per game with an 11.2 average.
Blake Ballard - Guard
Ballard's great play in his first season has been recognized by the conference by being named to the All-OEC Second Team. He led the team in scoring throughout the year and led the team with his 12.9 points per game. Ballard also finished fifth in OEC individual statistics with his 41% in three-point opportunities.
Allen Wright - Forward
In Wright's first year as a Charger, he was awarded an Honorable Mention for his year-long performance. His consistent play helped Cypress make the playoffs and pull off close wins throughout the 2022-2023 season. As a freshman, he forced 20 steals, came down with 133 rebounds and finished with a 41% three-point percentage.
After an exciting and successful regular season, Cypress men's basketball is preparing for the OEC playoffs. The Chargers have placed #18 in the CCCAA rankings and are set to play in the first round. The four All-OEC selections and the team will visit the Long Beach City College Vikings on Wednesday, February 22nd.
