Cypress Men's Divers Advance to State Championships
Cypress Divers Impress at Long Beach City College
LONG BEACH, CA - The Cypress Men's Swim & Dive team competed in the SoCal State Qualifiers Meet this past Friday on April 11th. In the 1M championship Niccolo Scornaienghi had quite the impressive performance and earned 2nd place out of 24 competitors. Niccolo had a high score of 233.40 in the 1M dive. Porter Rosenlof also competed in the 1M dive and received a top 9 finish. Porter had a high score of 136.60. Niccolo and Porter weren't done competing as they also participated in the 3M dive. Niccolo surpassed all the other competitors with a score of 262.45 and finished in first place. Porter also shined again and finished in the top 8 with a score of 139.65. The Chargers will look to carry on their success at the State Championships.
UP NEXT: The Chargers swim team will compete in the OEC Conference Championships on Thursday, April 17 at Saddleback College while the divers will travel to Santa Rosa College Thursday, May 1 for 3C2A championships.
