Cypress Men's Swim Compete in their First Meet of the Season

TORRANCE, CA - The Chargers swim team traveled to El Camino College for their first meet of the 2025 campaign. The men's swim team landed in fifth place at the Triple Distance Meet. They faced Santa Monica, Pasadena City, Chaffey, El Camino, and Bakersfield College.

Gio Demuro 

In the 50-yard freestyle event, Demuro posted a final time of 22.36 seconds. He faced tough competition and delivered a strong performance, finishing in third place.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Demuro continued to impress. With a final time of 50.42, he pushed himself to the limit and touched the wall, earning a second place finish.

The 200-yard freestyle required lots of endurance, but Demuro rose to the occasion. With a final time of 1:57.58, securing yet another second place.

Jose Limon

Limon's performance in the 50-yard breaststroke event was a hard fought battle. With a final time of 34.42 seconds, he dove into the pool with determination. 

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Limon continued to excel. With a final time of 1.14.53, he powered through the water and finished in fourth place.

The 200-yard breaststroke proved to be a challenging event, but Limon rose to the occasion. With a final time of 2:47.44, he pushed himself to the limit and touched the wall finishing in fourth place.

Eoin Owen Tannehill

In the 100-yard freestyle, Tannehill posted a final time of 53.88 seconds. With determination and skill, he swam a strong race, finishing in third place.

Tannehill continued to excel in the 200-yard freestyle event. With a final time of 1:57.27, he swam a focused race and touched the wall securing second place.
