CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers men's basketball team fell to district rivals, the Fullerton Hornets, 62-47, in a challenging matchup.
The game opened with the Chargers trailing early, but they mounted a defensive stand, holding the Hornets to just 10 points over a four-minute stretch. A three-pointer by Isaiah Valenzuela brought the Chargers within one, 10-9. Defensively, the Chargers showed flashes of promise, forcing 13 turnovers and nabbing six steals. However, Cypress struggled to sustain the momentum as Fullerton regained control and began to pull away.
Michael Wright paced the Chargers with 12 points and four rebounds, while Danny Patton contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
