Chargers Come Back to Secure the Win, 67-64
CYPRESS, CA - Cypress men's basketball (4-6) defeated the Cuyamaca Coyotes (4-4), 67-64.

The Chargers came into the game with a road win over San Diego Mesa College (71-48) to host Cuyamaca College on Friday night. Gabriel Navarro was off to a hot start with three made 3-pointers that put the Chargers in the lead over the Coyotes. Then, Cypress hit a dry spell which gave the Coyotes the opportunity to take control over the Chargers and were able to push an 11 point lead. Cypress was down 33-26 to end the half.
Allen Wright scored the layup to open the second half and the Chargers fought back into the game to tie at the 13th minute. Both teams battled back-and-forth and kept the gap within 10 points. The Chargers were able to stay ahead and take the 67-64 victory over Cuyamaca.
Cypress stat leaders: Gabriel Navarro - 17 points and 6 rebounds, Luke Washington - 4 assists, and Mark Onyejekwe - 6 rebounds.
