Brad and Scott Pickler Inducted into the Class of 2025 3C2A Hall of Fame
Legendary Cypress College Coaches to Be Honored for Their Unparalleled Contributions to Community College Athletics
SACRAMENTO, CA — The California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) proudly announces that Brad and Scott Pickler, legendary coaches from Cypress College, will be inducted into the prestigious 3C2A Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2025. This honor recognizes their unparalleled contributions to California Community College athletics and their extraordinary legacy of success.
The induction ceremony will take place during the 3C2A Annual Convention at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, with a cocktail hour from 5:00-6:00 p.m. followed by the induction dinner from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Brad Pickler: A Softball Coaching Icon
Brad Pickler's tenure as Cypress College's softball coach since 1987 has been nothing short of historic. With over 1,500 career victories, Brad has led the Chargers to 10 state championships, including the unprecedented perfect 48-0 season in 2017, the only undefeated season in state history. His teams have claimed 25 Orange Empire Conference titles and appeared in the postseason 31 times, achieving remarkable finishes as state runner-up three times, alongside five third-place and five fourth-place showings.
A 17-time Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year, Pickler has been a transformative figure in community college softball, mentoring hundreds of student-athletes who have advanced to four-year schools and coaching careers. His accolades include inductions into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Cypress College Hall of Fame, and the Savanna High School Hall of Fame.
Scott Pickler: A Baseball Coaching Legend
Joining his brother Brad in the Hall of Fame, Scott Pickler's legacy as Cypress College's baseball coach from 1985 to 2020 is equally impressive. Over his career, Pickler guided the Chargers to 981 victories, boasting a .666 winning percentage. His teams captured five state championships (1991, 1994, 1997, 2003, 2013) and finished as state runner-up four times, solidifying his place as one of the most successful coaches in California Community College history.
Beyond Cypress College, Pickler achieved national recognition in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League, where he tied the record for most championships in league history, earned four Manager of the Year awards, and mentored over 100 future Major League Baseball players. Pickler's previous Hall of Fame inductions include honors from Cypress College, the Cape Cod League, Savanna High School, the American Baseball Coaches Association, and the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association.
