
Chargers Even Series With Tigers
No. 5-ranked Cypress College evened the Orange Empire Conference series with No. 11-ranked Riverside City College Thursday afternoon with a 4-1 result.
The Tigers drop to 18-9 overall and 5-3 in the OEC, while the Chargers improve to 20-7 on the year, 6-2 in conference.
RCC got its bats hot but couldn't send runners home. The Tigers finished with 10 hits but left six runners on base. Marc DiCarlo Jr. (2-for-4), Darin Osterloh (2-for-4), and Malakai Lopez (2-for-4) all had two hits in the game, while Logan Clear (1-for-4), Luke Medure (1-for-4), Ian Nguyen (1-for-4), and Bubba Heidler (1-for-2) also had hits.
Evan Stratton came in as a relief pitcher for Riverside, threw five strikeouts, and scattered two hits in four innings of action.
The Tigers and Chargers close out the three-game series on Saturday, back at Cypress at 12 p.m.
